Registration FAQ

  • The course I want to register for is full. Can I overtally into it?
The Political Science Department policy does not allow overtallies in our courses. Students are encouraged to continue to try to register, as some students will drop a course during the first week, however there is no waiting list for registration.
  • I don't meet the prerequisite for this course. Can I still take it?
Course prerequisites may be waived only by the permission of the course instructor. If you have taken ENGL 120 at another school, please contact the English Department to get a Transfer Equivalence. If ENGL 120 is listed on your Hunter transcript and you are still having registration problems, please email the Political Science department
