What is Walk-In Advising?
During walk-in adivising hours, students can come in, without an appointment, to talk to an advisor. Walk-in advising is not for students who require a long appointment, but rather for those who have quick issues that can be handled within a 15 minute time period.
Procedures for Walk-In Advising
There will be a sign-in computer terminal inside room 1208 East OR a sign in sheet will be outside of that same room. Each student must sign-in next to a 15 minute appointment slot and a description of the reason for the visit must also be included. Once the spots are full, there will be no more walk-ins, even if it is prior to 5:45 pm. It is recommended that a student arrive at least an hour before the end of the advising session to ensure getting seen on that day. The sign-in sheet goes up at 15-30 minutes before each advising session begins on designated walk-in advising days, please do not come earlier and ask to sign-in ahead of time. Walk-in hours are not held daily. The schedule for walk-in advising is updated each semester and any changes to the schedule will be posted on this page.
