Dr. Jess P. Shatkin is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, leading one of the largest training programs in the country in child and adolescent psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine & Bellevue Hospital Center.
He will be joining us to discuss his path to becoming a psychiatrist and what his job in mental health looks like. He will also be able to speak about the stigma behind receiving psychiatric treatment, getting hospitalized, attending therapy, taking medications, etc.
