Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking in Healthcare Settings

Please join us as we welcome Restore NYC, a nonprofit organization working to end sex trafficking in New York. They will be giving a presentation about learning the indicators of human trafficking so that you can help identify a potential trafficking victim, especially as future healthcare providers. Despite the high number of human trafficking victims that seek healthcare treatment, many hospitals and clinics lack formal training for healthcare professionals. Recognizing common signs that a person is possibly a victim of human trafficking can potentially save someone’s life. LUNCH WILL BE SERVED.
