Presidential Curricular Innovation Grant **NEW PROGRAM**
This year, the Presidential Curricular Innovation Grant Program capitalizes on the streamlining of general education requirements via the CUNY Pathways Initiative to create opportunities for the development of new minors and certificate programs that cross disciplinary boundaries and provide focused exposure to exciting areas outside of existing majors. The President's Fund for Faculty Advancement
The President's Fund for Faculty Advancement seeks to provide faculty with the resources they need to publish or obtain external funding for their research or creative work. PSC-CUNY Research Award Program
The PSC-CUNY Research Award Program was established as a major vehicle for the University's encouragement and support for faculty research and to leverage external funding. It seeks to enhance the University's role as a research institution, further the professional growth and development of its faculty and provide support for both the established and the younger scholar. More information about the program may be obtained on the Office of Research Administration website. The online Grant Proposal system is now accepting applications. Deadline: December 15, 2012, 5:00 pm EST.
2012 Career Enhancement Fellowships for Junior Faculty
This program is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The program seeks to increase the presence of minority junior faculty (African Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, and Native Americans and Native Alaskans) and other junior faculty members committed to eradicating racial disparities, in core fields in the arts and sciences. Career Enhancement Fellowships aim to enhance the scholarly research and intellectual growth of the fellows, thereby enhancing their chances for success as tenured university scholars. In 2012, fellowships will provide a maximum of $30,000 stipend and a $1500 stipend for research travel or publication. For program guidelines and application, click here. Deadline: November 18, 2011.
CUNY Junior Faculty Research Awards in Science and Engineering
This new CUNY program aims to cultivate the excellence and ensure the promise of research-intensive, early career, science and engineering faculty at CUNY. It is expected that this early career opportunity will advance the research programs of the faculty recipients by boosting their research productivity and accelerating their ability to attract significant external funding. This year the program will fund three (3) one-year awards of $50,000. Guidelines and application materials may be downloaded from the CUNY website. Deadline: December 1, 2011.
Scholar Incentive Awards
The purpose of Scholar Incentive Awards is to facilitate bona fide and documented scholarly research. Scholar Incentive Awards of not less than one semester nor more than one year are available to full-time personnel in the following titles: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Instructor, Lecturer, University Professor, and Distinguished Professor. The amount of the award may be up to 25% of the candidate's annual salary. Candidates must have completed not less than one full year of continuous paid full-time service with CUNY before becoming eligible for a Scholar Incentive Award. A Scholar Incentive Award may not be held concurrently with a Fellowship Leave. Applications may be downloaded from the Human Resources Forms website (look under Applications). CUNY Faculty Fellowship Publications Program
The Faculty Fellowship Publication Program (FFPP) assists full-time untenured CUNY Assistant Professors in the design and execution of writing projects essential to progress toward tenure. These projects may include scholarly articles for juried journals and books for academic presses. The program proivdes 3 credit hours of course release time for the spring semester, a discipline-based writing group and the guidance of a senior faculty member. This year's program is limited to faculty from the following disciplines: Ethnic and Gender Studies, English, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. Applications are due October 23, 2012. Hunter College Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation (AEC) Funding
The Hunter College Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation (AEC) accepts applications for college-related projects or activities that will benefit the Hunter College community. Projects may be directed by students, faculty, staff, or departments and proposals up to $3,500 will be considered. AEC funding is available for student club projects, community activities, departmental projects, performing arts projects and academically-based activities. George N. Shuster Faculty Fellowship Fund

CUNY Collaborative Incentive Research Grant Program
The purpose of the CUNY Collaborative Incentive Research Grants Program is to enhance the prestige and prominence of the University to a national and international audience through multi-campus or multi-disciplinary collaborations. A major goal of the program is to seed research that will become the basis of new external grant proposals.
