RISE Program Has Officially Been Renewed for the Next 5 Years

The RISE program has officially been renewed for the next 5 years, and we are recruiting Ph.D. students. To be eligible, students must be federally underrepresented based on race (Black, Latino/a, Pacific Islander, or Native American) or disability (documented; e.g., registered with the disability office), interested in a biomedical research career, and must be working with a Hunter faculty member as their primary mentor.

We may also be recruiting a few undergrads for the Fall. Eligibility is the same as above, with an added category of socioeconomically disadvantaged.

The RISE undergrad program has been reconfigured to primarily focus on providing 3 years of support to undergrad students beginning the their sophomore year (rather than the junior year).

Interested applicants can visit the RISE website at www.hunterrise.com.
