We are conducting a search for a faculty person to join the Hunter College Program in Physical Therapy. We have a dynamic academic / clinical program which has graduated highly qualified and respected physical therapists for over 40 years. The curriculum is hands on, clinically oriented, with enrollment capped at 28 students per class. The facilities have been completely renovated with all new teaching/research equipment since Hurricane Sandy. We have research collaborations with various NYC institutions, and our collaborative research has resulted in multiple peer reviewed publications and/or presentations at national conferences. The Hunter College Physical Therapy program is located on the east side of Manhattan in an area which offers rich professional, cultural and recreational activities.
Coordinating the clinical education component of our program is the primary responsibility of this position, plus teaching in areas of interest and expertise. The faculty member will share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
A PhD. or DPT degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent is required. Also required are the ability to coordinate student clinical education and effective teaching in areas of expertise. Candidates should demonstrate scholarship or achievement, and an ability to work well with faculty, students and clinicians.
