Using Your OneCard (Hunter ID) at Hunter

This is a friendly reminder from the Office of the Dean of Students regarding Hunter College's policy on using your OneCard while on campus at Hunter College. These measures are in place for your own safety and that of the Hunter community.

All members of the college community are responsible for having their Hunter OneCard with them while on campus at all times.
Your Hunter OneCard is non-transferrable and may not be used by any other person, for any reason.
Allowing other persons to use your Hunter OneCard to gain entry on to Hunter's campus or to use campus facilities is a violation of Hunter College's policy and may result in that person receiving a summons for Trespassing.
Improper use of your Hunter ID may also result in your card being deactivated.

Investigation of Violent Felony Offenses

Hunter College has adopted and implemented a plan providing for the investigation of any violent felony offenses occurring on Campus, and providing for the investigation of resident Missing Persons. Such plans provide for the coordination of the investigation of such crimes and reports with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Such plans shall include, but not be limited to, written agreements with the NYPD providing for the prompt investigation of such crimes and reports.

Violent Felony Offenses

Defined in Section 70.02 sub. 1 of the New York State Penal Law and include Class A, B, C, D and E. violent felony offenses. These crimes will be immediately reported to the New York City Police Department by the Hunter College Department of Public Safety Office. A joint initial investigation will be conducted and then a follow up investigation will be conducted by the appropriate unit of the New York City Police Department. The college administration and college community will be kept informed and will be updated on developments.

Wexler Library - Temporary Entrance: Due to renovations within the library the entrance and exit has moved to the 7th floor East Building. There is NO entrance or exit on the 3rd floor East. Please take the East Building elevators to the 7th floor or you may used the elevators or escalators to the 7th floor West and walk over the skybridge to teh East Building.

Bicycle Parking in Posey's Park

Hunter College students, faculty and staff are now able to park their bicycles in Posey's Park located on East 68th Street at the East Building. A valid Hunter ID card is needed to swipe and enter the gate to gain entrance. Please do Not Lock your bicycles to anything other than the bike racks.
