Identification Cards
Every member of the college community is required to carry a validated identification card, called the OneCard, while on campus. Upon request of a Public Safety Officer or college official, your OneCard must be presented. Refusal to present your OneCard will result in denial of access to the campus. OneCards are Hunter College property and are NON TRANSFERABLE and may not be used by any other person, for any reason. If you use or attempt to use your OneCard or your OneCard Account for purposes other than permitted uses, including but not limited to tampering, hacking, altering, duplicating, modifying or otherwise corrupting the security or functionality of your OneCard or the OneCard Program, your OneCard Account will be terminated and you may be subject to disciplinary charges, civil and/or criminal prosecution.
The college will prosecute any unauthorized person who trespasses or loiters on college property. Students, faculty, and staff will need a OneCard in order to gain access to buildings, or to gain access to offices when keys are forgotten. Student OneCards shall be validated each semester.
For more information about the OneCard, please visit the OneCard website.
For more information about using your OneCard to access the buildings on Hunter's 68th Street campus, please see the Visitors Center website.
