Equivalencies

In order to satisfy the foreign language requirement at Hunter College, students who take French, Italian or Spanish must pass or be at the level of the fourth semester of language: 202 or 203 (or 208 for Spanish Heritage Speakers). For instance, if you took three years of High School French, you would be placed into French 202 (French 4). After passing this course, you would have fulfilled your language requirement.

It is necessary that you meet with an adviser in your language to obtain these equivalencies (they are not automatic).
