Major concentration in Spanish-English/English-Spanish translation and interpretation
(36 cr): This program prepares students for careers in the growing translation field. Students take courses in Spanish language, literature and civilization in conjunction with specialized courses in translation/interpretation theory and practice. A complementary minor in English and related fields of study is required and must be approved by the program adviser. Sufficient flexibility is built into the program so that students may tailor certain requirements to fit their individual needs and interests. An intensive internship in translation and/or interpretation serves as the student’s capstone experience and preparation for future professional settings.
If you need information about the Spanish-English/English-Spanish translation and interpretation program, please contact Professor María Cornelio.
