Degree Audit/Graduation General Information
- Maintenance of Matriculation
- Filing in an Intent to Graduate
- Completing the Degree Audit Application Form (DAAF)
Graduation is the official completion of your program, with all program and admission requirements met and final grades on your record. If you are nearing the end of your program, you will need to apply for graduation. You must graduate from your program in order to be eligible for certification. Students are advised to apply for graduation within the first two weeks of the semester the students intend to graduate. The official application form for graduation is called Degree Audit Application Form (DAAF).
Maintenance of Matriculation - All graduate students must be registered in their final semester. Students not registered for any courses must register for maintenance of matriculation (MAM) through OASIS. There are no waivers for this requirement. Students who do not apply for graduation on time or do not resolve their graduation issues by graduation date will not be eligible for graduation and will have to maintain matriculation and apply for graduation for a later term.
Filing an intent to graduate through ESIMS is simply alerting Degree Audit Division that you are intending to graduate, but it is not applying for graduation. This is not required for graduation and you need not file an intent. If you intend to file an intent, you should only do so after you've registered for all of your courses. When you file an intent, you can no longer register for courses, so summer graduation applicants should not file an intent through ESIMS. The Degree Audit Division of the Registrar’s Office processes the final audit and officially posts graduation. Hunter recommends you for certification once your graduation is officially posted. Please visit the Degree Audit FAQs for more information about degree audit.
