Angela Mouzakitis holds certification as a special education teacher, school psychologist, and behavior analyst. She has served for three years as an Adjunct Professor and full-time Substitute Professor in the Graduate Program in Special Education at Queens College/CUNY. She has served children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder for the last twelve years as a certified behavior analyst, program coordinator, behavior consultant, special education teacher, and school psychologist in public schools, non-for-profit organizations, and private homes.
Teaching
Ms. Mouzakitis teaches courses on assessment of development and learning and on behavioral theory for students in the Early Childhood Special Education program.
Research
Ms. Mouzakitis presents regularly at local and regional conferences focusing on applied behavior analysis and early childhood. Her teaching and research interests include exploring effective interventions for children with autistic spectrum disorder and related disabilities. Additionally, she is interested in researching effective methods to maintain treatment integrity in educational and behavioral programs for children with disabilities.
