1. New York State initial teacher certification in Students with Disabilities grades 1-6 or birth to grade 2 (or New York State provisional  or permanent certification in special education, grades K-12)

2. An undergraduate BA or BS degree with a GPA of 2.8 or higher from an approved college

Or

A graduate degree in special education (any age-level) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher from an approved institution

3. Two professional references to be included with the application for matriculation

4. A personal statement to be completed as part of the application for admission
