Childhood Special Education Grades 1-6

Childhood Special Education teacher preparation includes the following master's degree programs:

  • Learning Disabilities, Grades 1-6 for those seeking initial special education teacher certification
    (Programs for those with and without NYS certification in general education)
  • Advanced Program in Learning Disabilities, Grades 1-6 for those seeking professional special education teacher certification
    or
    for those seeking advanced post-master’s preparation in a program with exciting advanced internship options and electives
  • Behavior Disorders, Grades 1-6 for those seeking initial special education teacher certification
    (Programs for those with and without NYS certification in general education)
  • Severe/Multiple Disabilities, 1-6 for those seeking initial special education teacher certification
    (Programs for those with and without NYS certification in general education)
