Additional Course Requirements for Track 1:

Students must take between 7-19 credits of Childhood Education credits in addition to the Special Education courses required for their degrees. Students can be exempted from up to 12 credits of the general education requirements listed below on the basis of equivalent courses taken at either the graduate or undergraduate level. Students, however, may not be exempted from CEDC 729 (Fieldwork in Childhood Education for Special Educators 1 credit).

*Note: Students entering program with ASL proficiency may be exempted from either or both of the ASL courses, without being required to replace those credits with other course work. Such students would complete the specialization sequence with either 24 or 21 credits.
