Center for Gifted Studies and Education
The mission of the Hunter College Center for Gifted Studies and Education is to support and empower gifted students, their teachers, and their families by playing a leading role in research, teacher training, and the development of new curricula, programs, and policies.
Hunter College established the Mathematics Center for Learning and Teaching to help promote the math- ematics competency of PreKindergarten through grade 12 children.
The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program for Math and Science Teachers
Noyce scholars receive up to $20,000 in scholarship support during their last two years of the BA/MA program in Adolescent Education that leads to teacher certification in teaching math or science. Majors include biology, chemistry, earth science, mathematics and physics.
The Hunter College Urban Center for Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (UCARE) was established to serve colleges and universities, K-12 public schools, and community-based organizations in their efforts to improve teaching and learning in urban settings.

This video analysis initiative will place the Hunter College School of Education at the forefront of national efforts to improve the preparation of teachers.
