New York City Teaching Fellows are career changers and recent college graduates who do not have degrees in education and who wish to become teachers.  Once accepted to the program, Fellows who are assigned to Hunter College participate in an intensive 7-week summer program beginning in mid-June, and begin teaching in a New York City public school the following September while pursuing a subsidized master’s degree in education.
