Support the Center

The Center prides itself on being grounded in the communities we serve so that together we can sensitively and effectively address their health and quality-of-life concerns. We believe in educating the community in order to serve the community, and involve community members as active participants in all phases of our work. Our focus is consonant with our urban public health mission and with the missions of Hunter College and of the City University of New York.

The Center’s mission-driven research and programs have helped to improve the lives of members of underserved communities locally, nationally and internationally. We receive funding from federal, state and local governmental sources; from community-based organizations; and from private foundations. Much of this funding is for specific projects. Contributions from individuals further support our community-based mission, and will go toward general operating funds. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.*

If you would like to support the work of the Center, you may do so by check or by credit card:

If you would like to donate by check, please write a check to “The Hunter College Foundation,” make a notation on the check that says either “Center for Community and Urban Health” or “CCUH,” and mail the check to:

The Hunter College Center for Community and Urban Health

In your cover letter, please provide us with your full contact information, including your e-mail address, and let us know if you would like to receive periodic updates about the Center.

Please note that after your credit card donation has been accepted, you will be thanked for donating to the Hunter College Foundation, not to the Center.
