The Program in Urban Public Health, accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health since 1972, prepares health educators to plan and manage community health programs to reduce social and behavioral threats to health such as asthma, HIV infection, infant mortality, and violence. Graduates work as managers, administrators, researchers, planners, health educators, environmental and occupational health specialists, public health nutritionists, and community health nurses in diverse locations including health facilities, public and public agencies, businesses, and community organizations locally, nationally and internationally. |
