Acceptance Into The Program

In order to be accepted, by the start of the major, applicants must have completed 60 undergraduate level credits by the start of the major. The classes must include the required (or officially equivalent) courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and introductory foods and nutrition. Of the students who meet these rigorous requirements, only 35 with the highest GPAs will be accepted. Please note nutrition accepts students in the major only Fall semester.
