NUTRITION CLUB MAKING MILKSHAKES
AT THE RONALD McDONALD'S HOUSE
On Thursday, November 20th, 2003, four students, Debbi Malkoff, Jamie
S, Priscilla Martin, and Charlotte Ragert, went to the Ronald McDonald's
House on the Upper East Side to make milk shakes for the children
suffering from cancer. The children had many flavors to choose from,
but the most popular were chocolate and strawberry. Even special shakes,
such as soymilk shakes, were made to meet some of the children's special
dietary needs. The line was long with children as well as their parents
and siblings, and Debbi and the others worked hard making sure every
shake was made according to the wishes of their customers. The milk
shake table was decorated with coloring books and crayons, which were
handed out to everyone when the blenders had stopped and stomachs
were full.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the following for
their generous donations, which contributed to this event's success,
and offered children with cancer a little distraction, as they are
going through a difficult time: Session 73,
David Copperfield's - House of Beer, Blue Moon Restaurant, and Darren
Sloan.
Thank you!
