Curriculum & Courses

The Nutrition and Food Science curriculum meets the academic (didactic) requirements set by the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and qualifies students to continue their professional preparation for the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.

To become a Registered Dietitian students must:
• Successfully complete all required courses for the NFS major and graduate with the BS degree
• Complete a dietetic internship
• Take and pass the Dietetic Registration Examination
