Congratulations to Hunter’s two undergraduate winners of the 2014 CUNY Nobel Science Challenge!

John Strub – 1st prize in the Economics category
Eileen Clancy – 1st prize in the Physics category

The 2014 CUNY Nobel Science Challenge invited undergraduate students to describe the scientific concepts behind the work for which one of the 2014 Nobel winners received their respective prize and the present and future significance of the research to humanity. The essays submitted were judged by a faculty committee on several criteria, including academic quality, clarity, originality of work, and success in making the scientific concepts underlying the Nobel Prize winner’s work accessible to a general reader. As the first place winners, each student received an Apple iMac computer.  Congratulations to John and Eileen on their accomplishments!
