Shawn McGinniss,
B.A., Psychology, Pace University, is a former Research Coordinator for Parent/Preadolescent
Training for HIV Prevention—Competing Continuation (PATH-3),
where he performed qualitative and quantitative data analysis, literature
searches and reviews, research and preparation for presentations and
publications, administration of follow-up interviews, coding and entering
data into SPSS, and tracking overall progress of data collection efforts.
He also served as a trainer for the Center’s Positive
and Supportive Caring for People Living with HIV,
working on curriculum development and research, as well as conducted
trainings under the supervision of the Center’s Director of
Training and Professional Development.
Mr. McGinniss started at the Center as an intern on PATH,
and had previously worked as a clinical associate for an in-patient, Applied
Behavioral Analysis (ABA)-based behavior intervention program for
children with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. He is also a freelance New York wedding and event photographer and works as a consultant for web design, digital imaging, and data management projects.
