New CAI Booklets Available!
CAI booklets are now available for incoming HBSON students. The CAI booklet is used to record NCLEX practice test and CAI scores, as well as to provide students with information to access our in-house and online educational software. Stop by the HPEC today to pick up your booklet.

New Nurse Theorist Videos Available at the HPEC!
The HPEC has purchased the Nurse Theorists Portraits of Excellence Volume I collection. The videos include profiles of: Reva Rubin, Imogene King, Dorothy Johnson, Ida Orlando Pelletier, Virginia Henderson, Madeleine Leininger, Myra Levine, Betty Neuman, Margaret Newman, Dorothea Orem, Rosemarie Parse, Hildegard Peplau, Martha Rogers, Callista Roy, Jean Watson, and of course, Florence Nightingale.
Wifi is Coming to the Brookdale Auditorium
As part of a collaborative effort between ICIT, the HPEC, and the Brookdale Facilities staff, wifi has now been installed in the Brookdale Auditorium. This upgrade will allow us to conduct large-scale computerized testing for students.

The CDC Releases New Gloving and Gowning Video

Graduate Nursing Students Now Have Access to Shadow Health
Shadow Health is a learning program which allows students to interact with virtual patients and practice skills such as: critical thinking, communication and basic procedures, all within a safe, digital environment. Graduate nursing students will be instructed by their professors for login information.

On January 23, 2014 the NYCNECT project will be hosting its 4th annual CUNY Nurse Educators and Technology Summit. The event, which will take place at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, will be an opportunity for nurse educators to review the work of their colleagues, learn about new and developing technology in the field of nursing, and exchange ideas relevant to the field of health professions education. The conference will run from 9 am to 1:30 pm with a post conference from 1:30 pm to 3pm and will feature a vendor's walk. To register for the conference click here.
