Graduate Social Research Society (GSRS)
Mission
The purpose of the Graduate Social Research Society is to support the academic and professional goals of students enrolled in the Graduate Social Research Program at Hunter College and to promote collegiality among students, faculty and staff. The society is dedicated to improving the overall well-being of its members through social events, workshops and field trips, where opportunity for academic and professional advancement is present. Travel reimbursement for academic/professional events and/or conferences is available for eligible students. Past and current students are welcomed to join and students are encouraged to share their ideas with the society.

Subscribe to the GSR List-Serv
All students should subscribe to the GSR list-serv to receive important emails from the Graduate Social Research Program Advisor and from the GSRS. To subscribe to the list-serv:
1. Create a new email addressed to majordomo@hunter.cuny.edu (no subject).
2. In the body of the email, write this one-line of text: subscribe gsr-l.
Resources
Interested in taking courses outside the GSR?
You can register for courses in other Graduate Hunter Departments. To do so, you must obtain permission from the Graduate Advisor of the Department you are interested in taking the course from, as well as from the Social Research Graduate Advisor.
In addition, the CUNY Graduate Center offers courses that may be of interest to your studies. To register for a course here, you must obtain an electronic permit (E-permit).
