News from Summer 2008

  • Professor Manfred Kuechler has agreed to serve as Acting Associate Provost for Instructional Technology. In this capacity, Professor Kuechler will work closely with Provost Vita Rabinowitz, Chief Information Officer Frank Steen, faculty and staff to enhance the administration's efforts to move Hunter to the forefront of teaching and learning with technology.
  • Former student Tyrone Parchment graduated from the School of Social Work with honors and received the 2008 Student of the Year Award from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). He is currently working part-time over the summer with Dr. Darrell P. Wheeler, Associate Dean for Research and Community Partnerships at the school of social work. He co-authored a book chapter with him along with two other professors centered on providing services for black men who have sex with men who are also living with HIV/AIDS. That book is slated to come out in Fall 2009.
