To build the capacity of all publicly administered or supported
child welfare agencies throughout New York City by:
- Working collaboratively with the
- NYS Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS)
as a member of the Independent Living Training Network,
- NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS)
Office of Youth Development as the provider of Independent
Living and youth-oriented training, technical assistance
and resources;
- New York City Independent Living Consortium, the
organization of ACS' contract agencies' Independent
Living Coordinators, both as a Steering Committee
member as well as a source of training, TA information
services;
- Providing state-of-the-art independent living, youth
development and other youth-oriented resources through
an integrated package of training, technical assistance
and a resource lending library.
