A limited selection of courses is open to non-matriculated students. The courses available each semester provide the students with foundation social work knowledge. Non-matriculated students are permitted to register for one course each semester, for a maximum of three or four courses, offering eight or nine credits. A maximum of nine credits may be credited toward the MSW degree if a student applied to and is accepted into the matriculated program. Group advising is available prior to registration.

The application must be filed at least two months before registration and must be accompanied by a copy of a diploma or transcript showing conferral of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in the event of a foreign degree.
