Diversity Workshop	Multicultural Social Work Practice and Diversity Orientation

Diversity, Power, Privilege: Monday, January 11, 2010, 10:30am-5:00pm in Hexter Lounge. This workshop will be offered primarily for incoming Accelerated program students, however, students that are graduating in January or June who haven't yet completed this workshop should attend. Government Benefits and Entitlements: Thursday, January 14, 2010 on the 10th floor. Three workshop sessions will be offered: 11am-1pm, 3-5pm, and 6-8pm. All first year full-time and OYR students should attend, along with any students graduating in January or June who haven't yet completed this workshop. Check your status and/or RSVP for the workshop timeslot you would to attend by contacting Janet Tyson at: jtyson@hunter.cuny.edu Please note that OYR students will be given first priority for the evening workshop.
Promoting Ethical Practice: Thursday, February 11, 2010 on the 10th floor. This workshop will be offered as part of the Practice Lab at 9am, 2pm, and 6pm. This lecture will last approximately 1.5 hours and after the lecture concludes, students in the Practice Lab will break into their sections and other students joining who are not in the Lab will be dismissed. If you graduate in June and haven't yet fulfilled this requirement, please RSVP to Janet Tyson for one of the timeslots at: jtyson@hunter.cuny.edu Students graduating in January that haven't yet fulfilled the requirement please contact Ms. Tyson about an alternate assignment. Students that will be in the Practice Lab this Spring need not RSVP as they will simply attend the lecture offered at the time when they are normally in the Practice Lab.
Reporting Abuse for Children and Older Adults: Thursday, February 18, 2010 on the 10th floor. This workshop will be offered as part of the Practice Lab at 9am, 2pm, and 6pm. This lecture will last approximately 3 hours. If you graduate in June and haven't yet fulfilled this requirement, please RSVP to Janet Tyson for one of the timeslots at: jtyson@hunter.cuny.edu Students graduating in January that haven't yet fulfilled the requirement, can complete this workshop online through one of the providers listed at this site: http://www.op.nysed.gov/caproviders.htm Students that will be in the Practice Lab this Spring need not RSVP as they will simply attend the lecture offered at the time when they are normally in the Practice Lab.
