Student Governance

Hunter College is comprised of two student governments: the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and the Graduate Student Association (GSA). Both offer a wide range of activities and services, such as free movies, a consumer program, concerts, dances, lobbying in Albany and Washington, DC, student conferences, lectures, talent shows, educational and political programs, and discount tickets for off-campus shows and movies. The Media Board governs all student publications.

USG & GSA are the voice of every undergraduate and graduate student of Hunter College. Each government is responsible for the protection of students' rights, students' welfare, student involvement in academic policy and curriculum formation, and an awareness of local, national and International affairs of significance to students of the Hunter College community.

The Hunter College Media Board, is an association of Hunter College-chartered media. It is to serve as a funds-recommending body and information center for the various Hunter College media.
