LOCAL COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONS

Hunter College’s main campus is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
On-campus resources include the Leon and Toby Cooperman Library at Hunter College, a state-of-the-art facility covering nine floors of the East Building, and Hunter’s Kaye Playhouse, host to internationally-renowned programs and performances.

The surrounding neighborhood offers a wealth of exciting things to do and places to learn, including world-class
museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Frick Collection, Madison Avenue galleries, New York City libraries, and the nearby Morgan Library. Central Park is only three blocks west, and is a great place to study and relax, offering urban hikes, bicycle rentals, boating, athletic fields, the zoo and playgrounds. On the way, you can window-shop at upscale boutiques and dine in local restaurants that offer cuisines from around the world. You also have easy access to the Lexington Avenue subway line right on campus, which will connect you to the rest of the five boroughs and major transportation hubs.

Below are just a few resources for inspiration, recreation and education – all within walking distance or a short subway ride from Hunter's 68th Street Campus.
