GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: Electives

advising_title.gif

The faculty advisor in the major department oversees both the major and the minor. Electives may be chosen to explore potential majors or minors, to prepare for the chosen major, to complement the major, to prepare for graduate study, or to satisfy your intellectual curiosity. For more specific information about majors, minors, and electives at Hunter College, visit the individual academic departments online, or consult the Hunter College Undergraduate Catalog.

Electives

An elective course is one that you choose free of any prescription by the GER and the selected major and minor. The number of elective credits varies because the number of credits needed to satisfy the selected major and minor varies. In some cases, the specific credit requirements of the major may preempt the possibility of elective courses.
