GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: Minor
Minors are optional at Hunter College.
The faculty advisor in the minor department oversees the minor requirements. Electives may be chosen to explore potential minors, to prepare for the chosen minor, to complement the major, to prepare for graduate study, or to satisfy your intellectual curiosity. For more specific information about majors, minors, and electives at Hunter College, visit the individual academic departments online, or consult the Hunter College Undergraduate Catalog.
A minor is a secondary liberal arts concentration usually related to your educational or career goals. It is chosen, with the approval of the minor department. If you are pursuing the BA degree, you are required to complete at least one-half of the minor in residence at Hunter. Hunter degrees do not require a minor.
Courses from the minor can be used without limit to satisfy the GER Core (Stages 1, 2, and 3), Writing Requirement, and Pluralism and Diversity.
