Counselors explore and evaluate the students’ education, training, work history, interests, skills, and personal traits to assist in choosing a major and career.
Students can make individual appointments with a career counselor to help identify and explore personal and professional goals, resolve confusion, and aid in decision making regarding choosing a major and a career.
Counselors are available to work one on one with students to prepare the résumé and cover letter.
Hunter has implemented a new program to assist student in creating Resumes and Cover Letters.
CDS has created a Résume Writing Guide for résumé and cover letter preparation.
Prepare for interviews with the use of Optimal Resume, an innovative software program that allows the student to develop and practice interview skills. Students can view hundreds of video recorded interviews and create and replay their own, and meet for a one on one “mock interview” with a counselor.

CDS offers several programs for seniors, including Senior Year Network meetings and programs, on-campus recruiting, career fairs, and access to the CDS Online Job Search System, which includes Online Résumé Books, for online résumé posting.
