Certified Application Counselors (CAC) will be on campus throughout the semester to answer questions, and enroll eligible students in free or low cost health insurance plans.  Affordable Care Act Navigators (ACA) will also be available to help navigate students through the NY State of Health Marketplace.  Check out the link below to meet with the various companies, and compare your options today.

5.12.2014-12.15.2013 - Semiannual Stress Free Zone (SFZ)


The Stress Free Zone is a series of stress reducing programs held every semester during the week before final exams. The Zone itself is a safe, quiet, stress-free place where you can unwind. In addition to the Zone, this semester we will also have Pet Therapy and Mindfullness-Based Stress Reduction programs. See below for details.

SFZ: The Zone - Monday  May 12th and Tuesday May 13th

11am - 4pm in the Sylvia E. Fishman Student Center 417 West

A safe, quiet, stress-free place where you can unwind. We provide calming music, dim lights, tea and snacks, coloring, play-dough, and have a daily schedule of stress reduction activities including chair yoga and massage.

SFZ: Pet Therapy Dogs - Wednesday May 14th

11:30am - 2:30pm in the West Lobby

Melt away your pre-exam stress with the help of a furry, 4-legged member of a Pet Partners Pet Therapy Team! Students with allergies or fear of dogs are not encouraged to attend. For more information about Pet Partners and the health-benefits of human-animal interactions click here or visit the Pet Partners website.

SFZ: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workshop - Thursday May 15th

1:30pm - 2:30pm in the Sylvia E. Fishman Student Center 417 West

Learn mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques that, with practice, can help you relax mentally and physically almost instantaneously. For more information on MBSR, including popular articles on the benefits of mindfulness, visit the Mindfulness Meditation New York Collaborative website.
