Wellness Services offers activities and events throughout each semester designed to educate students and promote healthy behavior. These include:
Health Education Tabling
Each Thursday, during the Fall and Spring semesters, Health Educators set up a table on the 3rd Floor of the West Building to distribute information on different health issues. Topics vary widely based on student needs and interests, and include: Alcohol/Substance Use, Domestic Violence, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Diabetes, Smoking Cessation, Physical Activity and Nutrition. Often, community-based organizations are present to offer expert knowledge in a specific health area.
Health & Wellness Fair
The annual Health & Wellness Fair offers screenings, information, and resources covering a broad range of health-related topics. The Fair takes place each spring and features representatives from community-based health organizations as well as Hunter schools and departments.
Stress Free Zone
Explore techniques and strategies to help reduce stress and anxiety to enhance your academic success. This program is held at the end of each semester during the week before finals.
