The MBRS-RISE program offers research experience and academic and financial support for undergraduate and graduate students interested in biomedical research.

The MARC program trains talented students in biomedical research and encourages them to pursue Ph.D.'s in this field. Students are offered a short introductory course in biomedical research, the opportunity to participate in faculty research, and the opportunity to present at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students.

LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation)

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is an alliance of 17 CUNY Colleges and the CUNY Graduate Center. Students participate in faculty research and receive mentoring from senior faculty.

Ronald E. McNair Program

The Ronald E. McNair program prepares eligible undergraduates for doctoral studies through involvement in research and scholarly activity. Participants acquire the skills and knowledge required for admission to graduate school and the successful completion of graduate studies.

The RAISE-W program seeks to address training, productivity, and skills acquisition in all students interested in the empowerment and retention of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Program participants engage in 15-20 hours weekly hands-on research training in laboratory experiments with a faculty mentor.

Hunter/HHMI offers economically disadvantaged undergraduate Biology majors the opportunity to work in a faculty member's research lab at Hunter College as Hunter/HHMI Undergraduate Scholars. Hunter/HHMI also offers two summer research internships for undergraduate Biology majors: the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA, and the Cold Springs Harbor Laboratory on Long Island.
