Self-Advocacy Skills

The ability to advocate for oneself is a critical skill for meeting the competition and working to your potential. Learn in a supportive environment how to advocate for yourself so you can achieve your goals and maximize your success.

How To Get Good Grades in College

Get off to a strong start and keep up with your assignments to guarantee high grades. Learn the "10 Steps" – an easy-to-implement approach to raising your grades, maintaining them, and achieving your academic goals.

From Procrastination to Pro-activity

Learn how to become more pro-active and prioritize your school work and daily activities, to reduce stress, avoid procrastination, and increase productivity.

Presenter: Karen Perlman, LCSW has been counseling, coaching, presenting workshops and conducting motivational speaking for many years. As the Academic Coach in the Office of AccessABILITY, she specializes in helping individuals with ADHD and learning differences, to help identify and access their ABILITIES, and to explore their passion while developing success in college and at work.

Coaching Corner is an opportunity to get individual support and to follow up on the skills covered in the workshops.
