Student Peer Advisors Wanted

Are you interested in helping students with their academic questions? Would you like to assist Academic Advisors in welcoming new students to Hunter? If you answered "Yes" to either question, you may be interested in being a Peer Advisor!

Peer Advisors are trained to advise and support the professional advisors in the Office of Advising Services. They assist with Freshman Orientation and Transfer Advising and program planning during the academic year.

Fall Registration is Just Around the Corner!

Five simple steps will help you get the courses you need:

1. Current students – check your DIG via the CUNY Portal to review your course requirements, at http://www.portal.cuny.edu.
2. Review course offerings at http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/onestop/registration/searchable-schedule-of-classes
3. Meet with your faculty advisor regarding major pre-requisites and required courses. If you're not sure who your faculty advisor is, contact your major department.
4. Meet with a Peer Advisor for assistance with course selection and required course clarification, at the Sylvia E. Fishman Student Center, Room 417, West Building. Please see Program Planning Schedule for Peer Advisors below.
5. Meet with an academic advisor regarding your academic progress and other concerns, in the Office of Advising Services, Room 1119, East Building. (New students must attend an orientation.)

Reception staff are available to assist you:
Mondays and Thursdays 9:00 am - 6:45 pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9:00 am - 4:45 pm
Fridays, 9:00 am - 2:45 pm.

Appointments are available throughout the day.

Drop-in advising (for quick questions) will be available as follows:*
