Voter Registration Day at Hunter College!

All Hunter students are encouraged to register and vote in the upcoming fall elections. The Office of Student Activities will be helping to register students all day on Voter Registration Day, on the third floor of the North Building.

You can register to vote if you are:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A New York City resident for at least 30 days
  • 18 years of age before the next election
  • Not in prison for a felony conviction
  • Do not claim the right to vote elsewhere

Voter Registration Day: Tuesday, September 26

You can also register or update your voter registration online, in person, or by mail. If you registered to vote in the past, and if you have changed your political party, your name, or your home address, you will need to submit an updated registration form. The New York City Board of Elections must receive your new or updated registration at least 25 days before the next election for it to be effective for that election.

For more information about voting, please review the Board of Elections website.

Deadlines for Upcoming Elections:

  • STATE AND LOCAL PRIMARY ELECTION Deadline to Register has passed (August 18) / Vote on September 12
  • GENERAL ELECTION: Deadline to Register: October 13 / Vote on November 7
