One to World Event

Community Service: Help the Hungry and Homeless

One to World volunteers distribute food, clothing and personal care items to the homeless population of New York City in partnership with the non-profit organization, Midnight run. Come help the homeless of New York City by distributing food that you helped to prepare.

Cost: $14.00 (includes materials for food distribution).

Date: Tuesday, December 9
Time: 7:00 -11:00 pm
Place: Manhattan - instructions will be emailed closer to the program date.

Apply Now for Optional Practical Training (OPT)

If your status is F-1, and Fall 2014 is your final semester, in addition, you will need a letter from your departmental advisor stating your expected date of completion, as well as a second letter from Graduation Audit in the One Stop Office (North 217) stating that you have applied for graduation. These letters must be submitted to the International Students Office (E1109).

You can download the Optional Practical Training application forms, including samples of the two letters described above, at Optional Practical Training Form [pdf].

Students are required make appointments to file an OPT application. To make an appointment with an International Student Advisor, please contact Iris Aroyewun-Birchwood at: iaroyewu@hunter.cuny.edu or Xavier Remigio at xremigio@hunter.cuny.edu.

Please Note: To apply for OPT, you must have already filed a Degree Audit Application Form. (The DAAF deadline was October 14.) We recommend that you apply for OPT one month before your last class.
