Do You Have Travel Plans this Semester?

Are you planning to travel outside the United States during the spring 2015 semester? If so, please remember that re-entry to the United States requires a recent (within a year) signature from a Designated School Official for F-1 status holders or an Alternate Responsible Officer for J-1 Exchange Visitor holders.

Come to our office at least 2 weeks before your planned departure date and ask an International Student Advisor to sign your I-20 or DS-2019. If you are on Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 status students or Academic Training (AT) for J-1Exchange Visitors, you will require an updated signature every six months.

In addition, if you have recently applied for post-completion OPT you should ask an International Students Advisor regarding whether you can travel or if you should wait for your EAD card to arrive.

For more information, please contact international students office at 212.772.4864, email, visit our office at Room 1109, East Building, or visit our web site.
