Community Service: Help the Hungry and Homeless

Spend an evening distributing food, clothing, and personal care items to the homeless population in New York City in partnership with the non-profit organization, Midnight Run. We will meet as a group in One to World's office to assemble bagged meals and then head out into the city to meet Midnight Run staff to distribute them. This is a great way to interact and have conversations with the homeless in a safe and welcoming environment.

There will be two Help the Hungry and Homeless Community Service events:

Date: Tuesday, December 6
Time: 7:30 - 11:30 pm
Place: 307 Seventh Avenue, Suite 2003, New York, NY

Cultural Cuisine at Auntie Guan's Kitchen

For our second Cultural Cuisine event, we are going to sample the bold flavors of Northern China! Warm up with some authentic dishes from Auntie Guan's Kitchen. In NYC, the majority of Chinese restaurants serve southern-style cuisine, so we are excited to experience these northern traditional dishes. Our wonderful graduate intern, Shunchen Xu, who comes from China will be attending the dinner to help you explore these delicious flavors and answer your questions. Take your mind off finals and share this social and cultural experience with other international students in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
