Fall 2014 Orientations For International Students

We cordially welcome all of our new international students for the 2014 – 2015 academic year. Please be advised that the international student orientation is different from an academic orientation, which is mandatory for international and non-international students. In addition to the academic orientation, all international students must attend one international student orientation. Please select a date from the list below that is most convenient to you and notify the International Students Office ( of your chosen date.

Students will learn:

  • How the International Students Office can assist you with immigration advisement and academic support services
  • About immigration benefits and responsibilities of students in F-1/J-1 status, including employment options
  • About health insurance options for international students

Orientation dates, times and locations (students only need attend one orientation):

Tuesday, August 26

5:00 – 7:00 pm

Room 207, West Building

Wednesday, September 10

1:30 – 3:00 pm

Room 405, West Building


Summer Walk-in Hours

The International Students Office will remain open for the entire summer. As long as the college is open our office will remain open also. Please note that all CUNY colleges are closed on Fridays from June 27 – August 8.

Walk-in hours for August:

Mondays and Tuesdays: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm; 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Fridays (starting August 15): 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
