The Bedpan Confessionals
Tall Tales of Truth By Nurses, For Everyone: A Storytelling Series Since 2014.
The Bedpan Confessionals is a live storytelling series about what it means to be a nurse. In its second year, The Bedpan Confessionals will showcase a diverse group of nurse authors and their stereotype-busting, collaboratively edited tales about the work they do. Learn how much of their work goes beyond bedpans, and discover how even the simplest actions of nursing care lead to dynamic moments in the lives of patients and nurses alike. Sponsored by the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing's writing initiative, The Nurses Writing Project, this reading will feature diversity scholar Dr. Kenya Beard, nurse legal expert Edie Brous, patient advocate and policy guru Amy Berman, and a handful of talented up-and-coming nurse writers.
The event is free.
