Dalit Women Fight!
A Panel Discussion on Caste-based Sexual Violence
This panel focuses on the current epidemic of caste-based sexual violence in India. The connecting theme is the historic Dalit Women's Self-Respect March. From 2014 to 2016, Dalit women are caravanning across India, breaking the longstanding silence about their social oppression and the Indian state's failure to provide justice on their behalf. This panel will feature three of the participants of the march as well as video clips from the documentary about this movement.
The discussion will be led by Thenmozhi Soundararajan, who recently received an Artist as Activist grant from the Rauschenberg Foundation.
Date: Wednesday, April 15
Time: 1:15 – 2:45 pm
Place: Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute

Participate in the Student Satisfaction Survey
This spring, Hunter College will be participating in the Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI). Hundreds of colleges nationwide are using this survey to identify the issues that are most important to their students and to measure how well colleges are meeting these needs. A randomly selected sample of Hunter undergraduates has been selected to participate so check your Hunter email during March for an invitation!
