Become a Student Leader: Run for Office!

Attend a Candidate Workshop

Learn more about the elections, eligibility requirements, and more! Find out how you can be elected to the Undergraduate Student Government or a College-wide Committee! Student elections will be held the week of May 1 for the 2017-2018 academic year. All students must access their Hunter student email accounts to vote.

To be eligible, you must attend at least one Candidate Workshop in Rm C001, North Building on of the following dates:

  • Tuesday, March 21 at 10:00 am
  • Thursday, March 23 at 3:00 pm
  • Monday, March 27 at 11:00 am
  • Thursday, March 30 at 3:00 pm
  • Tuesday, April 4 at 3:00 pm
  • Thursday, April 6 at 11:00 am

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
Student Government

The official organization that represents students, charters clubs, allocates funds, and provides social, cultural and political programs.
Positions available: 8 Executive Officers* and 14 Senators

College Association
Reviews and approves all budgets supported by the Student Activity Fee.
Positions available: 4 Undergraduates

Auxiliary Enterprise Corporation
Reviews and approves all contracts for auxiliary enterprises and allocates funds for campus activities.
Positions available: 3 Undergraduates

Faculty-Student Disciplinary Committee
Hears testimony and renders decisions regarding disciplinary action.
Positions available: 6 Undergraduates
*Stipends of up to $4,950 per year are available for some positions.

Undergraduates: Pick up your Election Packet in Room C001 North
Graduates:
Packets are available from graduate advisors
All forms found in the elections packet must be submitted by 5:00pm on Thursday, April 13.

Dining Etiquette: Elbows Off the Table

Join us at this hands-on dining etiquette workshop to enhance your academic, personal and professional success by embellishing your table manners and professional dining skills.

At this workshop, you will learn:

  • What to do with the napkin before, during, and after dinner
  • Which flatware to use first and its place during dinner
  • The proper way to use a knife and fork
  • Behavior at an open buffet and much more

Free lunch will be served to all students who attend.

Time: 1:00 pm - 03:00 pm
Place: 8th Floor Dining Hall, West Building
