Leo S. Rowe Fund for International Students

The Rowe Fund is an educational loan program of the Organization of American States (OAS) that help citizens from Latin America and Caribbean OAS Member States to finance their studies or research by awarding interest-free loans of up to $15,000. Applications are accepted and reviewed year-round.

Are You Interested in Graduate School? — Apply to the McNair Scholars Program

The Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program is currently recruiting Hunter juniors who are interested in obtaining doctoral degrees. Accepted students have the opportunity to attend paid summer research programs and participate in numerous activities throughout the year. Participants may receive a modest stipend per academic year, upon successful completion of stated activities and goals.

The program provides graduate school and scholarship/fellowship application assistance, faculty mentoring and conference research presentation opportunities. Program participants visit numerous university campuses and meet graduate admissions officials. Also, free Graduate Record Examination (GRE) preparation workshops, graduate application fee waivers, and GRE fee reductions are offered to students.

This year, students were accepted to numerous universities for graduate studies, including Yale, Cornell, Columbia, UCLA, UC Davis, Ohio State University, CUNY Graduate Center, University of Chicago, Northwestern, University of Connecticut and many others!

U.S. Student Fulbright Program Grant

The Fulbright Grant affords undergraduate and current graduate students the opportunity to study, work and live in the country of your choice for one year. Hunter students have gone on to study anthropology in Thailand, religion in Germany, art in the Philippines, work in a non-governmental organization in Malawi, or teach English in Turkey, Germany and Argentina, among many other countries.
